Here are a few photos of butterflies I shot in Thailand on
November 16 2004,
during the excursion to the Khao Yai natural reserve
organized
by the European Office of the IUCN (World Conservation Union),
as a
preamble to the IUCN World Congress in Bangkok...

Note to animal lovers:
these butterflies were professionally caught and held by Dr Andreas Gigon,
Professor of Plant Ecology at the Federal Institute of Technology of Zurich.
They were thereafter
released
harmless.
All these photos were shot with my Nikon Coolpix 5700, a wonderful little
digital camera I warmly recommend to all photo fans for its great versatility,
although it is not very fast on the trigger...
